“Beryl”

The Leigh Sakoda Foundation celebrated New Year’s Eve by making a very important grant to a 19 year old woman in Pennsylvania who was diagnosed with metastatic renal cancer. This is a very rare cancer with a very difficult treatment regimen for young women. This patient is covered under her parent’s insurance policy which has significant co-payments for hospital and medical bills. The family faces significant financial stress during these tough times as they struggle to pay for their daughter’s care. She is being treated at the University of Pennsylvania.
