“Alma”

The Leigh Sakoda foundation celebrated the holidays by making a very important grant to a 35 year woman with a very rare ovarian cancer. She is the mother of two boys, ages 13 and 7. She has been battling the disease with chemotherapy and had a recent recurrence after a very long period of remission. Sadly, her husband died from a tragic accident during her care and she is now raising her two children on her own while she battles cancer. She will have to undergo chemotherapy likely for several years while working a full time job, and is in great need of financial assistance.
