“Zoe”

The Leigh Sakoda Foundation celebrated Leigh’s Birthday by making a very important grant a 34 year old woman in Florida who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system.  She is a mother of a one year old baby, and has had to immediately start chemotherapy while trying to care for a newborn.  She works as a hairstylist, but is not eligible for disability nor does she have medical coverage to pay for all of her treatments and hospital visits.  This grant helps defray the cost of the medical expenses, as well as pay for family needs for her baby during this very difficult time.
