“Anne”

The Leigh Sakoda Foundation celebrated Leigh’s Birthday by making a very important grant to a 26 year old woman in Pennsylvania with late stage lung cancer.  She is a school teacher who has been trying to continue work in order to pay for her medical and living expenses.  Unfortunately, due to the aggressive chemotherapy and radiation regimens, she has had to move back into her parent’s house so that her mother can be the primary caregiver.  She sadly does not have the medical insurance nor disability coverage to allow her to cover her health and living expenses.  This grant will allow her family to pay for rent and transportation expenses required for her to continue her treatment regimen.
